      **WE HAVE BABIES**

Thanks for stopping by to see my lovely purrs.I run a small cattery on the sleepy Kwazulu Natal South Coast. I love cats of all colours and creeds but I have a special soft spot for the nature of the Siamese, Orientals and Peterbalds that rule our household. They are good enough to let our Moggy boys share their space but draw the line at letting the dogs in the house.Dogs are inferior beings and will be reminded of this fact at any given time.
We are proud to own three cats from Hungary.  With the size that they bring to our breeding, as well as the elegance and type of the European lines, we are assured of wonderful, healthy babies. We are forever in awe of László Nèmeth’s breeding and forever indebted to him for allowing us to be owned by these cats and, essentially, forming the foundation of our breeding.   With being met by reluctance in the local breeding circles to sell us a stud, we could not have launched without our foundation boy, Okonor Tejfel.  László, your dedication to improving the breed over the last 30 years is unrivalled, and for us to be able to start our breeding on those foundations is an honour and a joy as Okonor Cattery is, in our opinion, the best in the world!

2011 marked an exciting new chapter in our breeding, with the addition of our first Peterbald. We had always seen the Peterbalds as an extension of the Siamese and Orientals we cherished, and it was a natural progression.  One that was accelerated when it was by chance that we met Nasauda (meaning the black queen). Nasuada did what comes naturally to Peterbalds, and that was usurp every ounce of my attention and instantly steal my heart, and it was with the extreme generosity of Mariette Burger of La Maska cattery that this girl was offered to us as a breeding queen and formed the foundation of Minki Liu Peterbalds.

We feel very strongly against cats in cages, and for this reason our girls are free to roam the house, and our studs have specially designed quarters where they can spend some "private time" with their lovely girls. We love and honour our cats, to the extent that our catteryis named after two girls that stole our hearts who sadly passed the Rainbow Bridge too early. Minki and Lucy Liu, you were two beautiful girls who loved us with all your hearts and we will forever miss you (yes, we even miss Lucy Liu opening the kitchen cupboards and stealing noodles!!!).
Our vision as breeders is to:
·Produce quality, healthy purebred Siamese , Orientals and Peterbalds
·Breed Siamese, Orientals and Peterbalds whose stunning features are only surpassed by their beautiful temperaments
·Show our cats to ensure that we are breeding according to the standard of points
·Further enhance the aesthetics and health of the Siamese, Oriental and Peterbald breed in South Africa
·Assist in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of Siamese, Orientals and Peterbalds in the region
·Ensure the happiness of every one of our kittens by finding them loving, responsible forever homes
We breed Siamese, Orientals and Peterbalds in solids, torties and bi-colours and are dedicated especially to promoting and improving the White Orientals (see "that Darn Cat" page for more info).
